6 GDA France Porcelain Dinner Plates
The plates are heavily gold gilded
The plates are monogrammed
I found these at a local estate sale this weekends
Diameter is 9 3/4 inches
Hallmarked on back GDA France Atlanta
I am not sure of the red writing it's difficult to make out
If anyone can help me identify this hallmarked your help will be
highly appreciated.
GDA is the monogram of Gerard, Dufraissex & Abbot of Limoges, France, who would also collaborate with Charles Haviland on pieces. The other mark would be the name of the retailer in Atlanta, Georgia. I believe the mark of GDA was used in the 1890’s but may be wrong, but you could check on any Limoges collects site. They made high quality pieces. Hope that helps!
Thanks, I know GDA Limoges China, I don't know what the red writing means.
The red writing is the retailer from Atlanta
