This is an almost-life-sized skull handmade with wire and loads and loads of glass beads. The jaw moves. it must be left over from someone's Day of the Dead altar. it was on the sidewalk with a bunch of trash right near my house. Trash gets tossed all over the street where i live almost everyday. it's pretty disgusting, but this was a pretty cool find!

maybe it's from mexico, but i'm not sure. has anyone seen other beadwork like this or know anything about it?

Cool find! Perhaps the prototype of Damien Hirst's diamonds one...

I have nothing to offer to help identify this -- only my congratulations for your good fortune to find such a cool thing in a trashpile?!! (I wish my neighbors threw out neat stuff like that... <lol>)

Hmmm...all those tiny yellow glass beads...I wonder what it'd look like with a small light bulb of some sort stuffed up into it...?? ;-) :-)
