Lane is one of those California pottery companies that was largely overlooked as too new or too kitschy during the first rush. Located in eastern Van Nuys at a place that is now a Bed & Bath parking lot, they were in business from the early 1950s and after a last ditch effort as Sunkist Pottery, they were gone by the early 1970s. Lane & Co. put out a tremendous variety of products - a good many of them were marked and dated which should be an asset to future collectors.
