I have inherited 3 china sets (lucky me) and and after much deliberation on which set to keep and treasure always, the pattern I chose to keep is "Invitation" by Royal Bayreuth. It's a rare USA Zoned Germany pattern, in silver grey with gold roses and trim, set agains bright white porcelain. I think it's simply gorgeous (picture attached). I painfully decided to give up an extensive collection of "Royal Swansea - the Coronation", and unfortunately also a (2nd runner up for me) "Mystery Pattern" that I have been researching extensively and can find NO info on. Maybe someone here can help?
The mystery pattern is from France...the green markings on the back say simply "J.P. L. France, and "J Pouyat, Limoges". No pattern mentioned! Dishes have gold rim and green/orange berries pattern - I'm no good with descriptions, I'll attach a photo on the off chance anyone recognizes this pattern. If it looks familiar to anyone, I'd appreciate knowing what it is!
