Usually called an Antique English Revolving Bookcase. I love them, but unfortunately never had one.

As for the repair, I would use animal hide resin glue, then clamp it tight and go to the under side and put a couple mending plates screwed in place to hold it from coming apart again. The glue will take a few days to set and it should be left clamped even after the mending plates are installed. If the under side is unfinished (which it should be) apply a generous coat of boiled linseed oil to help keep the wood from drying which caused the problem to begin with. Make sure you get boiled linseed oil and NOT raw linseed oil.

The underside is completely finished it will surely be a puzzle getting to it ! but I like the idea of using mending plates ! Thank you
