Old Estey Piano in an old church. Would love a date and maybe some history on the company. Any photos of similar pianos would be lovely.

Hi Jarret, the Estey Company has a long and likely rather well documented history as makers of musical instruments -- as PhilD suggests, Google is your friend for that. For old pianos in general there is often more info to be found under the lid, either labeled on the inside of the soundboard or actually cast into the iron frame that holds the strings.

The terribly unfortunate truth instantly revealed in your pics, even without any further info about this specific instrument, is that it is practically not worth the effort that would be required to move it from wherever it currently sits rotting. In this day and age of instant digital "music" in one's pocket, there is literally nearly zero "market" for old pianos of any kind or condition.

Unless this one (via its location, previous owners, etc yada yada) has a really special history...I'd salvage whatever neat woodwork chunks that might be easily removable from it and call it a day...sad but true... :-(

A google search helped with history, but I couldn't find a piano that was identical or at least has some of the same "fancier" detailing. It currently sits in an old church, and if ever restored or even touched it would most likely stay there.

It's a shame the Church is abandoned. The population grows in most places, but hope in something greater than this life seems to be dropping.

Religion maybe, but not a relationship with the living, loving Lord. ;)

Well I sure didn't expect a religious debate in the comments. I just wanna get a date on the piano. The church is tiny and was most likely abandoned due to a new building. The cemetery next to it is actually still active.
