Enameled porcelain, and it does appear to be an antique. I would have bought it in a minute! Good for you!
Thanks postcardcollector always lovely to hear. Neil
No, it's not antique. The stamp on the bottom says "made in China". probably 30 years old.
Thanks Shrine, what about the other Asian vases I have posted, your opinion is greatly appreciated. Neil
Cheers fortapache, valentino97, Postcardcollector, rockbat, aura, Roycroftbooksfromme and LaurenRedmond for the loves. Neil
I also collect Chinese porcelain vases and jars. You might be surprised but this type of mark is more recent than the ones with a state factory number. Agree with about 30 years more or less. :-)
What a pity, I was hoping to retire lol. Neil
FUNNY! Ha ha ha, me too. Retire in style....lol
Still working !
stripped zongghuo mark 1970 or later
Hi apostata thanks for the info, was there anything interesting about my other Asian vases ?
well actually my opinion is not important, you have to buy whatever makes you happy, everyone start like this and you will undoubtedly get there
well-intentioned advice, don,t buy chinese stuff with watery marks
and don,t buy stuff with factorynumbers on it
your japanese vases are cute , but it,s hard to get value out of japanese vases, and i agree TOD evaluation
your mark is probably in the site watersilk silkdragon , chinese ceramics site
best regards Waki
Great advice, thank you Waki. Neil
