I found this at a thrift store very tarnished and I used 1 tbsp baking soda, crumbled ball of aluminum foil and boiled in water and dunked the tray in the mixture for 30 secs and it turned silver? Is it silver? Or silver plated?
I now notice there is a signature on it (see picture 4) that I cannot make out what it says. Any background information on this item would help. Not sure if I want to sell it or keep it. It’s very pretty. I used my key for a size reference. Tray is approximately 9 inches long and 4.5 inches wide. Thank you in advance!

I seem to see a lot of this style in thrift stores and I usually pass it up. I don't think that is a "name" Maybe a makers motto, as it makes no sense does it. Maybe a piece of hotel/restaurant , fine dining silver service.?The weight of it would br a hint maybe--Silver plate is heavy. I don't think it is really an antique. Just a guess.
Now is the time to put some pretty Christmas Candy in it!!!

Okay, I am pretty sure that it is silver plated and I think it is a bread tray. The old ritzy hotel here in our small town was recently renovated and a lot of their old stuff went to the thrift store here. I think it is an antique but still probably not worth much. I will just use it as a catch all tray or for candy since it cleaned up so nicely.
