This is a Brookfield insulator made at their Brooklyn New York facility. As that plant closed in 1912 that dates this one as 1912 or earlier. Exactly how early I am not sure. I believe this is a telephone line insulator thus 1890s. Brookfield referred to this as style 19.
The CD style system is universal among the various manufacturers although there are variations. This is a CD 162 with the nickname of Signal. The nicknames come from the hobbyist.
OK we are past the nuts and bolts of this. It looked a bit greener when I bought it as it does it photos 2 and 4. Has a touch of the blue/green in 1 and 3. The touch of blue takes a touch out of the value but I still did all right on this one. Plus it is an attractive color. Looks great when sunlight passes through it.
