Here are some very nice Welz vases that just came in. The first one is a fruit cup with a bright red tango color and cased yellow powders in a line decor. The second one is a footed vase with a line and dot decor, I feel like I’ve seen the shape in a larger size because this one is only 4 inches tall. The last one is in adventurine cased powders in a line decor.
What all these vases have in common is that is that they were made between 1920 and 1935 by Franz Welz Czechoslovakia; The other thing they have in common: they all have a smooth bottom (no pontil). I suspect they were blown into a form- like early wine bottle production and hand worked on the rim.
BEAUTIFUL Welz-- the shape and decor varieties in your collection are AMAZING!!

Love the first one. A new decor for that shape.....
Red, yellow orange. My favorite color combo.
Thanx guys, the fruit cup does have a unique apperence, granulated of yellow that part melt in the middle, making the line pattern without rods
