      I paid a pretty penny for this one. rather proud of it. I don't display it in my cabinets. I keep it in my safe. anyone have an idea what this could be on the blade. I took it out just long enough to share.

      I own several knives that all have the same type of designs all mine are from India but I have never seen one with a brail like pattern I own 5 cutlery sets and about 5 knives or daggers all in the wooden carved scabbard sheaths and they all have the male and female brass piece to open and close I got my first one from an uncle years ago and have collected all of mine over the last 20 years they are all from India and appear to be from different types of wood with what looks almost like a sea shell flower design I love them as well and the are beautiful you have some beautiful pieces in your collection
