    I have a bicycle that was owned by my uncle, and it was just passed down to me. the only information i know about it, is that it is a Murray bicycle, sonic flite model, with stampings underneath (mos 24) and below that is (847073). can you please give me more information on it, such as the date of it, what it might be worth, is it a rare bicycle (i cant find anythin g on the internet about it). thank you for taking a look at my new (antique) bike.

      The bike is probably late 50s or early 60s, I would guess '61 or '62. It looks to be in great shape, all it needs is buffing and polishing (plus going through the bearing and new tires/tubes) to make a great looking cruiser. I don't recommend repainting as reproducing the decals can get pricey. The headlights appear to be add ons (not original) but I'd leave them on. I've got a similar Murray Titan X-63 that's basically the same bike.
