Very Large Dramatic Sherman Jewellery Bracelet, Mid 1950's to 1960's
In the Art Deco Egyptian manner.
You might ask how this stays on a woman's wrist, very well thank you. For something so delicate I wondered myself how this bracelet would not feel top heavy, but it seems to be based on gravity and it is surprising to see that it is not top heavy, staying on a hand, very stable, with no problem. I received this December 18, 2017. The piece is signed Sherman.
This bracelet is in the "Last But Not Least...." chapter of the Sherman Masterpieces book. It is a chapter of some of the authors favourites of Sherman Jewellery. It seems directly about this bracelet, when they say, "These Iconic pieces use the most uncommon elements, the glass drops, or are thrillingly large and elaborate, and seldom seen !!" This bracelet fits all those bills and is rare and hard to find, and it seems that it may only come in the clear crystal variety !~ ...H
Love the hand model and the bracelet is magnificent! Hard to find an event to wear this to I'll say. Royal Wedding coming up lol.
Game of Thrones party :)
It is so spectacular, as stated something very royal about this sparkly beauty; I could see this on Downton Abbey!
Impressive to say the least. The only thing that could top it would be one on each wrist ! :)
What a beauty Phil, I love this!!
Thanks Caperkid, I shall wait every day until 3:00 pm eastern time for delivery of the tickets for these affairs ! Merry Christmas, Dude !
Hi, ken, this is signed. I don't pay nearly 1K for pieces that are not signed. I only pick up unsigned if they are a lot cheaper than a regular piece. As for this one, I have not heard of an unsigned one. I always say if a piece is unsigned as I did a few posts ago where I featured 2 unsigned bracelets. I will try to post more with signatures showing, this one I do not have room but can try to do a new pic after or just before Christmas.
I love the clean design of this true masterpiece.
I am speechless!
Thanks Mani for the link to the "necklace", however there was never a necklace made, so I would never buy a bracelet which was "made" into a necklace !! I appreciate the lookout !!~
Wow, what a statement piece-look at all that detail-very nice!!
The link I shared Phil was a althered bracelet and I can't imagine anyone would want a piece that was altered like they did . I agree with you 100 %
Thank you Jenni for the visit, Merry Christmas to you and your family !
Thank you again Mani, you have been instrumental in getting me some of my best Sherman pieces, so much love for you !
Thank you mike, I appreciate your visit !
Thank you TassieDevil, love to you this Holiday season, Merry Christmas.
Thanks Phil and a very Merry Christmas to you:-)
Thank you valentino97, love to you !
Thanks so kindly, mcheconi for the very nice words !~
Spectacular!!! I love this and so glad to see you are posting your Sherman treasures again!!! I can see how this would stay put for sure...it's the angle of the dangle! lol. Gorgeous!
Wow. This is VERY cool! Gorgeous!
Thank you freiheit, hope your voice came back !
Wow, an absolute beauty!!
OMG -- Beautiful Phil !! How did I miss this Master Piece ?? Wow !!
OMG! I like what Valentino97 said : "I'd figure out a place to wear this to...."! Simply stunning.
Thanks MALKEY, Yes Eileen I did see the poorly made necklace.
So far the necklace has been a badly redesigned necklace that they repaired into a necklace, which was ruined. Or at least that is what I saw on ebay. I would be surprised if it was a necklace originally.
Yes now I took a look and it is the same resoldered bracelet to make a necklace and they did a poor job, they forgot to mention that the signature or where it was is now missing from what I can see. I believe I contacted the seller when it first came out for auction late 2017 or early 2018 !~
I remember this beauty!!!
Thank you Sue, you are so kind !~
Thank you oebble, most appreciated !~
Thanks Olga, much appreciated !~
