    in desperate need of help can anyone please tell me what this set is it appears to be some kind of tap and die set but also has numeric Engravings on them I believe they're in English and Japanese but I could be incorrect

      Yeah, it looks like the "tap" part of an old "tap and die" set.

      Yes tap and die set. Mine are marked only with numbers but the numbers correspond to the thread they are cutting. Normally you have both coarse and fine thread in a set with different number of threads per inch.

      Appears to be Oriental characters on the "drill bit" shanks. Could the numbers be sizes by 16th like auger bits
