Going to place in my collection, think they look cool. What are they? They each seem to be hand made and old. Thanks !

They look like snuff bottles . You don't mention height of them . Very nice collection

They are snuff bottles not sure if Chinese or Japanese but it looks like I see the bottom of a few marked . What are they marked ?

Based on the paintings on the bottles, I'm leaning toward Japanese. I don't know much about these, but I think they could be bone china, porcelain, or ceramic. I think Manikin could help identify them if she saw the maker's marks (probably on the bottom). These are really beautiful. Great find.

Thank you so much for all the help everyone! I do think they are the coolest and look forward to learning more about them with time. They range from 2-2.5 inches and all have red Chinese markings on the bottoms, some have a blue one. I'll take a picture shortly and post here as well. Thanks for liking my collection PhilDMorris, and R Cassano I want to say they are porcelain but ceramic maybe, not sure either? Either way thanks for the marking idea and I will post more clear photos soon of the bottoms. And Manikin thanks for your follow up! I was just emailed by a collector of sorts who said he thought they were re productions. As to my knowledge I have looked and looked to no avail for even reproduction examples. Even in that regard those sell for at least 10-15 a piece and have to be imported directly from China if I remember correctly. Maybe I'm incorrect any thoughts to clarify Manikin? Thanks so much! Merry Christmas or happy holidays ! :)

Well, that just goes to show you I don't know the difference between Japan and China ! I need to clean my glasses.
