Stone Knife Blade Found in North Carolina

Knife head found near the Cape Fear River in Fayetteville North Carolina. It is about 3 inches long and 2 inches high. The cutting edge is very dull. The heal and top are rounded and there are what appears to be strapping marks on it. Was wondering if anyone might have any information about this style and about how old it is.
