    Antquie painted green side table in a friends. Basement that he was going to cut up and trash it . I said to him sorry but I can not let you do that lol . No sure who and when this table was made any clues .

      GREAT SAVE, goodeyeguy! (after all, Friends don't let Friends trash Cool Stuff like that?!!) Besides being kinda pretty, the table is interesting (at least) for the way it looks like the legs bolt onto it through its top -- that seems like an unusual way to do that...?

      Thanks I was thinking that same thing about being bolted from the top . Maybe some one did that to make table stronger or this was the table makers idea

      I have seen this manner of fastening legs years ago. Normally the screw is counter sunk below the surface, then any depression was filled and sanded flush. That being done a veneer would be applied to cover the entire top and in effect hide any indication of the screws.
