I know little to nothing about this possible barn find?

Materials painted plywood and mixed metal painted red. Folding chair, carry. Copies ancient sgabello form but uses modern materials.
After Holger Schell and Robert Venturi.

If I'm making any assumptions it reminds me of the series Andries Van Onck did, work titled "totem cloth hanger"

Do you think it's a early prototype or commercial like the work Phillip Stark and Yrio Kukkapuro completed?
    Any case please weigh in.

For my own records I wonder if it was advertised in Magis Magazine, later owned by Azure?

You might have nailed it. The stepladder in your reference looks like almost identical construction.

Hi! Not sure if this is still in question , but I got my hands on the same chair. Digging brought me to your post and after some more digging I think I’ve got the answer, by Torstein Nielsen for Westnofa : https://www.mynewsdesk.com/no/nasjonalmuseet/images/ekstrem-ekstroem-moebel-og-industridesign-stolen-locust-torstein-nielsen-moeremoebler-1982-514836
