    THIS VASE IS 10.5" TALL, and 7" DIA. WITH CAST BRASS BASE and TOP RING. I HAVE NO PROVENANCE AT ALL.

      I'm thinking that someone who would go to the trouble of making a reproduction would put some sort of a mark on the piece. JOHN

      Chinese famille jaune porcelain vase with a copper alloy rim and stand. Looking at crackle in bottom photo would guess late 19th century item. Hong Kong was under British Crown rule from 1841 to 1898 and after 1898 items under import/export laws had to be marked on porcelain. They switched to stickers after WWII and unmarked items are stickers removed and mid-20th century. The coat of arms suggests Hong Kong territories under British crown. Famille Jaune is one of the most desired of famille rose porcelains. This is a guess from four photos supplied.
