    Well, this is a real mystery. Going through a box of odds and ends from my Mom and found this at the bottom of the box. This box included refrigerator magnets, broaches, Christmas decorations, hair clippies, and tons of other things. I though at first that it was a stone but looked closer and it looks like a carved animal. Hmmmm, It's about an inch long and 1/4 " wide. Anyone know what it is?

      All this sounds convincing and compelling. Not to detract from the proffers, being of the analytical mind, what I see is a chunk of rock that just happens to resemble a dog. A lot like looking at clouds or burnt toast. I've come across such things and said "wow, that looks like a ....." and hung on to it just for that reason.

      Then again, it might actually be what others have described. Just playing Devil's Advocate. Kinda cute, though.

      A chunk of whatever...cracked me right up!
      Now, it is definitely carved, but a fetish would have other stones tied to it would it not? Even if it was old? I have a couple myself but I do not know beans about them, my thing is basketry and even then there are some tribes I know nothing about.

      Now this looks like either a fox...or a long haired Dachshund? I don't know LOL but I like it :)

      @valentino97 - yeah, I was just being facetious. A little tongue-in-cheek.

      @Tlynnie1942 - I have two long-haired doxies, and it does sort of resemble them.

      You guys just make me laugh. Thank you. Hey Valentino, if you want it just send me your address. You can just have it. It really doesn't mean much to me and you might be able to make something out of it that is pretty. I sent an email to zuni fetish gallery and he said it looks like a fetish.

      This could even be made of White Buffalo Turquoise. It seems it could be any of the above tho and I enjoyed reading all the comments.

      Pssst. Mary, I have a handful of cameras. You are welcome to use, no have any one you want kiddo!!! They are still good and collecting dust my friend!
