I prefer Sterling over Alpaca but I could not resist this necklace: It was made in Mexico and looks stunning when worn with a solid colored top. Because of the rainbow colours of the abalone, almost any colour will do!
Thanks for looking:)
Oh freiheit, this is beautiful! Love it:-)
Thanks so much for your comment, TassieDevil. I am glad you like it too!
Happy New Year!

It's awesome, and will look fabulous on you!
Thanks so much for your kind comments and well wishes, racer4four and Mary. I hope you will have a really great year with lots of love, health, happiness, and some nice new treasures too:)
Many thanks, racer4four! I have worn it already a bit but I go through "phases" - sometimes I like this and other times I like that. I guess this is what girls do:)
This is a beauty! I'm almost certain this would be Paua. A shell also. Let me see if I can get you an explanation...I'll be back! ;)
Oh wow! A long time ago, I remember looking that up because I was told they were different. The darker blues and greens, I was told was Paua. From what I just read a minute ago, stated that they ARE one in the same. One place said Paua was from New Zealand. Another said the darker, which would be blues and greens, is abalone but dyed! Now...I have absolutely no idea! Apologies for that!
Shereurpassion, sorry for the late reply. I have heard of Paua but have never taken the time to check it out. I guess there must be a difference. I am sure one day we will find out. No apologies needed! I appreciate any comment:)
