I found this brooch in the junk section of the store. It was black and dirty but I realized that it could be a little treasure. When I got home, after cleaning it a bit, I noticed two marks on the pin: one is "925" and the second one I cannot figure out. The amber looks like raw amber.
The style of the brooch confuses me. I have seen many amber brooches inspired by the Art Nouveau period. Others are very modern in design, and some are rather kitschy. But this one is different: It has a hint of Brutalist style to it!
The brooch is a little over three inches long.

Yes, Phil. I left some of the patina on. I like some silver better with a bit still on. It gives it character:)
