Any marble lovers out there? This is a 19th century handmade marble from Germany. These are commonly referred to as end of day marbles as this one only has one pontil and is HUGE measuring just a hair over 2 1/4". It's in excellent condition which is hard to find in this size. If you have any interest in other marbles, I belong to a small group over on F/B called Akro Auction & Discussion Group. Fun place to get together and view, compare and trade.

I have two of these handmade marbles in a small size...I don't collect even marbles but I noticed them at the bottom of a box of random stuff at a flea market many years ago, & the stallholder let me have them for free. Will have to post a photo of them sometime...

THX to all for the love! Manikin--that's exactly why I collect. Not really into these handmades, but it was a deal so...... IronLace--size really does matter with these chunks of class, but you definitely did score!

I have a small collection of marble finds from my yard cleaning over past 20 years. Have no idea what are good ones though. Yours looks really pretty and unusual!
