    Found two blankets there old dont know any thing about them just that the women at sale SAY her mom got them when she was youg and she's 70 or older hope you can help

      Wow! Very impressive... I'm no expert here but if I recall, when the Navajo made their rugs, they would stitch something obscure, I guess I would say... or something different in one corner. See if you can find a difference in one of the corners. Maybe a different color thread??? Maybe just wait till someone may be able to help you further. I just wanted to see the beauty of this rug!!!

      These are likely Navajo rugs from the 1920s-40s. Look to see if there are diagonal lines in the stitching. These are called "lazy lines" and are a result of the way the Navajo would weave rugs on their looms. Feel free to call or text me and with more photos I can provide more info 206-853-1207.

      There is lazy lines and there is something on one corner that looks like it don,t belong or a mistake

      There is a spirit line, a single thread color extending through the border, on authentic Navajo rugs.

      “Not every Navajo weaving contains lazy lines. When the Navajo weaver works on a rug, she puts her soul, her energy, her spirit into it. ... When the weaving is completed, the belief is the energy and spirit woven into the rug must be released so the weaver will have the energy and spirit to continue weaving other rugs.“
