Found among our fathers many tools. He was an electrician in the mines and for TVA. Perhaps something to do with wire?

This is a tool for stretching a shoe or to keep its shape but the wooden shoe shaped part is missing from the end. The wooden part was in two halves and hinged together. As the handle was turned the threaded part in the middle moved down and pushed the two wooden parts wider until the desired fit was reached.
I'm not sure if the two separate items are belonging to this but they could have fitted into holes in the wooden part to create an extra bulge over a corn or other foot sore.
Thanks!
No I don't think it's a she stretcher - unless it's a shoe for bigfoot!
Oops! Maybe it is! I have one that was on a shlf for YEARS - I moved it somewhere. Where? I don't even know!
