Interested in learning more about this pin I found in an attic of an old home upon purchase. I found several others as well. I am posting those to separately.

Many of the US Army expert marksman badges are made of Sterling silver with newer ones only silver plated. Check the back for Sterling.

Agree US Army Expert Rifle qualification badge.

In addition to sterling markings-- the TYPE of back (clutch vs. pinback) and manufacturer marks will help to ID the era.

Thanks, uploaded a photo of the back.

Since it has a pinback, I would put it in the WW2 era.

Pinbacks were continued to be used through the Korean War. But most likely it would date around WW2
