Here's another thing which actually followed me home from Mom and Dad's 'big cleanout' last summer. This oval shaped serving platter measures about 16" x 12" and stands about 1.75" tall on its four little feet. I am assuming it is silverplate (?) but there are absolutely no markings on it to actually prove that, nor to give any idea of its maker. The only thing I know for sure about it is the clue given by the sharpie-marker initials on its bottom...in Mom's handwriting, they tell me that the platter originally came to her from the estate (probably) of one of my Aunts, who passed away in the late 1980's or so. (and in fact, noticing that detail is exactly why I 'picked' it in the first place...Aunt Mary was always one of my favorites?!) :-)
Does anybody else here recognize anything about it?? I'd love to learn anything y'all might be able to share!! :-) :-) :-)
This is a vintage silver plate carving dish serving tray. Hope this helps.
