Another thrift store find for $12. I'm not sure if the tapestry has been replaced on it but I was wondering if a anyone knows about the age of this piece?

Eastlake chair and yes, the material has been replaced. It appears to be glued on, which is a shame but at least they used good tapestry to do that with. The original would have had upholstery tacks and lots of them. You still got a bargain and it's a nice chair. Maybe you can invest in the tacks and put them on there so it would be more authentic and attractive. It's still a beauty tho.

Thank you! Yes you can see the original tack holes. I will add it to my projects list. I am adding a set of Eastlake settee's I found and they are all original but in a more fragile condition. This is a hobby for me and its nice to find a place to share your finds with fellow enthusiasts. Some people just don't get the need to revive old furniture.
