This is a Blenko ashtray, #966, also referred to as a freeform or "Amoeba" ashtray. The orig designed was by Winslow Anderson.
The color is “Tangerine,” and the style ashtray was produced between 1957 and 1981.
This ashtray is in beautiful condition with no chips or cracks. Some of its character comes from not only its rich coloring, but also the air bubbles and "straw marks" or wrinkles in the glass, all of which were common in this production process.
It is also hand signed/etched by one of Blenko's designers, Joel Philip Myers (1963-1970), along with its date, "March 6, 1965," and the word "Blenko."
It measures 9-1/8" in length, 6-1/2" in width, 1-1/2 in height, and weighs 2 pounds 13 ounces.
