My Grandmas Wm. A. Rogers Oneida spoon ring. She loved miniature spoons, and had a ton of them from every state in the U.S.
My son got a bunch for her while on deployments from all over the world. She wore this all the time, my step-grandpa got it for her sometime in the 1960's. She passed in December 2016, at 93 years old. She was a spitfire, like my great grandma Carrie before her. I miss her every day.
I have recently been talking about these and thinking of having one made for me. I've also been mentioning the pieces made of silver flatware that went over the elbow. Also, very popular during the 60's. I think just about everyone was wearing them back then mostly thanks to Janis, Joanie and all the gals of the rock n roll scene!
I have a fork as a bangle, but this miniature as a ring is wonderful!
Thank you both shareurpassion and racer4four :)
The 60's were the best for rock and roll, that is for sure! Joplin was and is still my favorite woman singer.
I have a gold-plated version of the one showcased in the picture on this article.
