Okay...so when I revived this lamp from my mother, she gave it to me just because it was my happy light and I always liked it ...So she had told me in the past that it wasn’t marked and she thought it was from a pottery class some one did ya know..and I figured she was right, however something about it always ...I just liked it..it’s a beautiful lamp no matter who made it...Any how one night I was up kinda late and I started to see what I could see...Well to my surprise ...it had a Gilbert New York pat pending cord...Which I know that don’t mean much but why would a pottery class use such a good cord So when I looked at the bottom which it’s trimmed in gold ..just looking at it without a magnifying glass you won’t see anything...But with a magnifying glass...all the trim is like ocean and Army’s on boats ,shooting missils...um it just kinda blew me away to be honest because I knew who ever did that couldn’t have been just learning...no way just to detailed...so then I start to look at the I well wat I guess is ceramic ...Anyhow where the gold wraps around or better yet anywhere you see gold...it’s actually glass and with light and a magnifying glass looking into it because u can literally see threw it only with a magnifying glass and a flashlight works great..Well it’s so amazing to actually see I’m wondering if it could be a Max Ingland and Gilbert poplerat excuse me if I spelt that wrong ,Anyhow ...when u look in it you kinda see spots of silver getting brighter from your light which helps it light up even more...Anyways sorry I’m writing an book here...Inside theres......let’s see ,I don’t think they are real but insects...in a baby bird I mean it’s just full of stuff... in which it appears 3dementional....Anyhow it’s real I’ve showed my wife because she thought I had lost it.....and each marble is different as well some of the marbles even have leaves and stuff Anyhow....,Has anyone ever seen a piece like this???I had never .....But it’s pretty cool it has signatures inside the glass as well but they are small...
Its a beauty, I would also look up Made in Italy - I have had items of theirs, and this reminds me of those signed pieces, most always unknown artist.
