My wife's grandmother had this chair, and thanks to some of the comments on this site, we were able to identify as an A.H.Schram chair. She lived in Manitowoc, WI and the manufacturer was in near by Sheboygan. It was interesting to learn that the Schram sons moved the company to Merrill, WI and ran it as a furniture/embalming business, since my wife's family owned a funeral home.

Nice chair! I wish that our family kept the furniture factory going but after my great great grandfather handed down the factory his kids ran it for a while then sold it outrite. But I would have to say that I'm glad to see that people are collecting and enjoying these chairs to this day. Thank you for sharing!
