I believe this one was hand-made by my friend’s father, probably back in the teens or 20’s. It seems to be made of leather. The knees are weird.

Same question: where does one find a suitable resting place for these scary heirlooms???

She is not scary but rather a antique German Bisque doll and looks much like a Armand Marseille doll from 1900-1920 a common doll made over a long period of time . Look at back of her neck and tell me what is says there will be a number also . These are collectible dolls but common dolly face one like this do not have a huge resale value vs a rarer face . I would suggest selling her on Ebay or a like site . You need to be sure head has no cracks and photo her nude so that we can see that her shoulder area is not broke or chipped also . She would be loved by someone for sure .

I assure you this is not homemade I have seen thousands of antique dolls and also as many that were made by a person in a ceramic class . Yours is a true antique made in Germany .
