I inherited this rare Bowie 20th anniversary poster a few years ago. Its from a catalog about record collectors. I think there is only one like it, based on my sleuthing abilities. Glad to have it in my home
Cool poster!
There was or is a poster art by a famous painter, I think 1980 or so, it was all over the internet and now cannot find it. It was of a woman but same hair and this picture looks so similar except your pic looks more like a photo.
Also his "Scary Monsters" album cover carries some art that is like the painter above, but cannot locate identical pic.
Here is the art you could have found easily if you put some of the words in your poster on search-could be a larger ad/poster advertising the record price guide:

right, i know what softcover book its from. I believe it was a store promo because of the "ABA" and date and place. I thought it may have been from a book signing but no ABA bookstore exists
Maybe the ABA stands for something like "American Bookseller's Association" ? I don't know if there is, or was such an association...anyway, it certainly does use an image from the Scary Monsters album cover.
Could it be Patrick Nagel that you are thinking of, PhilDMorris? He did the cover artwork for Duran Duran's 1982 album Rio. His artworks, usually depicting glamorous , stylised models, were very popular in the 80s. They captured the slick aesthetic of the time.
Anyway, it is a great poster, very different & definitely a rarity I would think.
