Here's my 2nd one of these old light fixtures. This one doesn't have the 'twist-lock' feature to its base, just a simple white (and unmarked) porcelain disk (now under a good thick coat of beige semi-gloss ceiling paint) which its twisted-pair wire hangs from. Its brass socket has a pull chain instead of turnkey switch, and is stamped with the "BRYANT" name. (and its electrical specs) This one did actually come from a closet in a 1920's(ish) house, where somebody apparently had decided it was just *that much* too long and tied the knot in its cord to shorten it an inch or two.
