    Can anyone please tell me what this piece is? I believe the symbol in brass is the Chinese symbol for longevity but it's all I can find. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

      It's small enough to sit on top of a dresser...I should have mentioned that.

      Sometimes size comes in inches or centimeters also, good to remember, do you think it may have been a jewellery container ?? I have seen various chinese ones.

      Also, I had considered a type of jewelry armoire but the drawers are bare, not lined like many I have seen posted. I considered silver and linens as well.
