Can anyone tell me anything about this necklace my gran gave to my 20 years ago I’ve not seen anything likeable this before

These are most likely faux pearls as there are no knots between each pearl. If they were real pearls, the knots between them would have been there to prevent each pearl from touching, which in turn prevents damage to the nacre on each one. It's pretty though and I like the flip sides to it!
