Not sure what years Hennessy utilized this St. Bernard statue, however I recall seeing it in one of the bar scenes in a movie classic. (I believe it was on top of a cigarette vending machine in the bar and the movie may have been Casablanca). I’m waiting for Casablanca to be rerun so I can verify or dismiss my recollection.

What a beautiful image of the noble St Bernard, that wonderful life saving dog. This is a precious keepsake, is it cast iron? I love this, my favorite post today - Jenni

Not sure what it is made of Jenni; appears to be a form of molded plastic.

He's beautiful in any medium, and the detail is terrific - the little jar round his neck to hold medical supplies and/or liquor, the dog colors, everything. Did you know there was a famous St Bernard in Switzerland that saved over 40 people yrs ago, running back & forth in heavy snow. I will watch for Casablanca to see if I can spot him. Thanks again Gundalow
