I'm unable to find anything online like this. I was told it was from New Orleans. It has a stain inside the cupboard from what looks like an ink well. Any info would be greatly appreciated. T.I.A

I don't see a lot of age on this. A photo of the back may show otherwise, but it looks to be 20th century from what I can see.

Also, I wouldn't call it primitive nor do I see anything to suggest it is a Southern piece.

      Looks mid century-ish to me!..

I added it under primitive cause of the lack of markings , which led me to believe it's a piece made in the south and not mass produced. I would go out on a limb and date it as late the 1800's. I definitely missed the mark on primitive by at least 50-80 yrs but hey im not an expert . Ill be changing it. I have a few mid century pieces and this outdates them by quite a bit. As for the lack of wear , this has been kept outta sunlight since at least the 60's when the person I got it from acquired it.
If you zoom in you will be able to see the wood starting to split from humidity over time.
At any rate I'm grateful for the all the info and I'll be enjoying this piece of history for the rest of my days , regardless of what I know or don't .
