I found this ring recently and thought it would match with the earrings I posed some time ago. The earrings are unmarked and were missing some of the dangles. I decided to take the dangles off a pair of earrings I don't like and here is the result. Now I will wear both, the ring and the earrings.
Thanks for looking:)
Very colorful pieces
Yes they are colourful, Newfld. I usually wear solid colours so my jewelry will show:)
Gorgeous, You have made this set personalized and now it is treasured !~
Thanks so much for your kind comments, Mary and PhilDMorris:)
(Mary, now I just need to look for a matching bracelet, necklace...)
Ring goes so very well with the earrings, which you say are unmarked. Is the ring marked? How do you know it is Mexican? Lots of inlay work of this type being made by Native American jewelers, particularly Navajo.
Beautiful, looks native american.
Thanks so much for your comment, cameosleuth and Elisabethan. I agree with both of you that my ring looks Native American. The construction and design do point in that direction but it is marked with MEXICO. I certainly believe that it was influenced by Native American work. Or was it the other way around? I guess that both makers could come from a close geographical area.
I think that my ring proves that one can never be too sure:)
Your ring reminded me of last nights Antiques Road Show. A lade came on with this totally amazing bangle. The expert put a price on it of $30,000 or more - I don't remember, but you can look up the episode on your computer.
The jeweller's name is Charles Loloma, and here is some of his work. Can you see the resemblance to your ring - the pendant on the top line at the right?

what's a "lade" - should be lady
Gillian, I watched the show too!!! My husband and I were talking about this. So much work went into the bangle! I had no idea. Also, it was gold. I never put my eyes on a golden one. Even the sterling bangles are very expensive here and hard to find!
I looked at the link. OMG! They are absolutely gorgeous pieces!
