I picked this up from a small town shop for 10 dollars. Its been well used and isn't as bad on the inside. I love pieces like this that were used almost every day and still survive. It being a train lunch box was great for me and I love the design. Not sure of the maker but this is a favorite piece.

I remember seeing lunch boxes of this style when I started school. I got a brown bag with my name on it.
I got a lunch pail in grade school fhr and I thought it was the coolest thing ever :-) I must have been weird but just loved it although have no idea what was on it . Maybe just plain . Never went to a school with a cafeteria so ate a candy bar for lunch in HS I would not be caught carrying a lunch box or bag lol
Well Manikin that worked for you but I was in HS at the same time as you. All the girls I was chasing were in the lunch room so guess where I was? DA haircut, tight jeans and ready to flirt.
I don't think we were in HS at same time but if we were you asked me to prom and didn't show up fhr !

For those of you raising eyebrows at Manni & I commenting. She and I have never met but we have a common bond. We were both in the middle of an unpopular war 50 years ago. We made it and have a common bond. We were never welcomed home but in the end we will have the last dance and welcome each other. I have a great deal of respect for this woman.
