RiverRat
(1 item)
I found this today [1/28/18] washed up on my beach on the St. Clair River south of Lake Huron. I though they were gold but after cleaning found them to be silver ice tongs with a person
on each side. They are about 7 1/2 inches long, connected by what I would guess to be a silver band, with an interesting "S" monogram. It is imprinted with "ITALY" on 1 side of the silver band.
Can anyone offer and information on this item?
Really cool find! Without any silver marks, I would guess silver plated brass.
Here's another pair, perhaps from the same manufacturer:

Beautifully unique.... possibly from an old ship?
Did you ever find out anything about this? I have one just like it.
