Juan Reus Ortega Valencia Lithograph #1084 ROT

This Ortega Valencia Bullfighting Lithograph has been hanging in my house, in Dumfries, Virginia since before we bought our home about five years ago. The previous owners left a bunch of stuff behind as they were moving to a smaller place. On a fluke I decided to research this lithograph to get more information on it and was delighted to find out that it was not only REAL art, but also an ORIGINAL!
I did some research that showed me how to figure it out - from the writing in the black line on the bottom left to the writing on the bottom right! and some pencil writing on the back of the very heavy duty wooden base that I think says 1084 ROT but it is a little messy so I'm not totally sure what it says. It is so exciting to me - like a mystery art adventure! :)
I am so in love with the idea of original art that I can almost get past the fact that I'm totally not a fan of bull-fighting - but not quite. I love that I found an original lithograph in my own home but the violence surrounding it - it's not something I really want adorning the walls of my own house - so am for sure going to about find a better home for it where it will be more appreciated. :) But until I figure that process out, for right now my family wasn't nearly as impressed as I am and I thought ,hey, an art community, people here will catch on to the excitement I feel about it! Right?! :) At this point I just want human confirmation besides myself that it really is as cool as I think it is! LOL - have a lovely day, ya'll!
