A wonderful op shop find, this Victorian era vase by Welz (I'm pretty sure it is one of their products) is made from opaque pink glass with a nicely textured surface of frit. The vase measures 15.5 cm tall, 6.5 cm across the cut & polished top rim, & 7 cm across the applied, leaf footed base.
This was found along with another Welz vase. Very happy day!

Very nice. Frit feels interesting. I have some old Sandwich glass like this, but not colored, and I think it may be called overshot, here. Some times the love button does not work, otherwise I would have loved yesterday. Is it ok to ask, How Much from the Charity shop ?Is that what an Op is ?

I agree, rockbat, pieces with frit or overshot have a great texture. They catch the light in a different way to regular glass. Especially on an opaque piece like this...I have one other opaque frit item, a large yellow vase, most likely also by Welz.
Understand about the love button not working...cannot use it at all on my iPad now, only works on my laptop. Annoying.
Yes, op shop is what we call thrift, or charity shops in Australia. Short for opportunity, as when you walk in there's always the opportunity to find cool stuff, I guess. Both items were pretty cheap, $12 & $8.

What great finds! Well done. It'd be a favourite shop of mine too with things like these on their shelves :)

Many thanks, Vintagefran! I've had many good finds in that shop over the years. One of the very best!
