    I have a 4rth edition Goode wall map purchased and used by Columbia University. A note written inside says "acquired in 1942" however I think it was printed in 1927 but not absolutely sure. Does anyone know how to tell?

      Look at the European countries' borders, Yugoslavia for instance, and compare with history. Changed a lot during the 20's, 30s and 40's.
