Hello. I'm writing today to hopefully find out information about this makers mark. The rocking chair was my mothers and she treasured it so it has sentimental value for me but she passed away before telling me who the manufacturer was. The stamp looks to me like T&G; there are no other identifying maker marks on the chair, under the seat or arms. This T&G stamp is under the front lip of the chair. After reading guidance of what to look for the craftsmanship of the chair appears to be hand made and painted. If anyone recognizes the makers mark or has any other helpful information to steer me in the right direction it would be deeply appreciated. Thanking you in advance.
Love the patina.
I am still looking but so far I have only found one furniture company that used the mark T&G. The company is in England, T&G Bedrooms. Lots of marks to go through in different databases so sometimes it is a long process with an uncommon mark.

Thank you. The rocker needs cleaning but otherwise is in good condition.

Thank you for taking the time to look up the makers mark. I emailed the company in England but have yet to receive a response. It's a modern design company so unless they've completely re-branded I don't expect much but perhaps they know of the old company that used the same brand. Fingers crossed.
Boatman You are correct, they went into business in 1983. However, I couldn't find out if they merged with another company and bought the branding T&G mark.
