I found this cleaning out my grandfather place after he passed. Any idea what it is? There are a few other pieces that may be similar or go with it. Just curious what I am looking at.

Some sort of military phone?
This looks to me like a piece of test equipment likely meant to be used in a telco central office to diagnose problems with "trunk lines" -- circuits that run back and forth between individual exchanges (instead of between customers and exchanges) and are not dedicated to any particular phone number.
Wow, thats pretty cool. Would that be considered a collectors item, maybe the local muesum would like? Thanks again for the info
