Here is a smart little Lava vase combining green into red (or red into green). The surface is a combination of enamels, confetti and what looks to be applied sand. There is an inconsistent iridescence and a playful use of overlapping glass to the surface. Wilhelm Kralik Lava pieces can come in 14" to 3" (this one is slightly over 3"). The pieces are hard to detect unless you have it in your hand- look for surface texture that is inconsistant, shapes that don't match any other decor- look for serpentine applications partly eaten-away by the salts or acids.... but most of all buy one and you will know what to look for.
Wonderful information, and a beautiful vase. Thank you for sharing!
