    Hello,
Does anyone know the significance of this medal? This belonged to a friend that recently passed. He was a veteran and left behind a large collection.

      Silver Star perhaps ?
Is there more information you could provide ?

It is not an issue military item. The two pieces look like a marriage. The Eagle looks nice-- great details. A photo of the back may help to determine maker/ era.

You may get some better information in the costume jewelry category.

Thank you both ... I think that it is "sweetheart" jewelry. It is a very nice piece.

I will throw this in for what it is worth. I have seen pins/badges like this worn by individuals who ride Harley Davidson motorcycles.
