Want to know I feel these bottles are worth saving a bottle of courviosier it says from 1869 it's never been opened also a bottle of martini & Rossi extra dry never opened and a bottle of Japanese sake never opened I just want to know what information doesn't anyone have on these bottles I can't find these on any website ..... thank you
The bottle of Courvoisier may have the date of 1869 printed somewhere on the label, it probably represents some special anniversary for instance. This doesn't mean the bottle was manufactured in 1869. It looks fairly new. If you read what's written on the bottom of the label, printed on it is the New York importers' name.
The bottle of Martini & Rossi contains extra dry Vermouth, ("Vermouth is an aromatized, fortified wine flavored with various botanicals. Its true claim to fame is as an aperitif. The modern versions of the beverage were first produced in the mid to late 18th century in Turin, Italy.") Excerpt from Wikipedia.
I can't see any indication that it is an antique, which would mean it had to be at least 100 yrs. old. My mom used to keep a bottle up in a kitchen cabinet, and would have a tipple, or two, while make supper.
I hope someone can help you with the bottle of Saki.
